Dec 01, 2017 Diablo 2: Save Game (Necromancer, level 99) Link: goo.gl/uB8b27. Dec 19, 2016 Single Player Saves Missing (Diablo 2). I have a different Problem with my savegame. I installed Diablo 2 maybe 2.
I personally never played Diablo 2. And I also have no way to compare the Necromancer coming to Diablo 3 and the original one from Diablo 2. So with that in mind I have a couple questions. Does the new Necromancer seem similar to how it used to be? Is it better or worse? Is it unique enough to interest Diablo veterans, or get newcomers to the series interested in playing the previous installments?

Also, since Diablo 2 is about $10 on the Blizzard store, would it be worth buying it if I never have? I've seen a little bit of gameplay for it, and the classes seem very cool, but I don't have much to go on. Side question about Diablo 3: Why do I have to wait to get higher difficulties. I really wanna play on Master already, but I also want to wait to play through the whole game once the Necromancer drops. I get they designed it that way on purpose, but maaaan, I just wanna play on the higher difficulties.
Firstly, do not buy Diablo II without its expansion. Secondly, Diablo II feels very different, in that the creation and development of a character is much more sacred. The lack of respecs and lack game modes beyond story will feel like a step backwords from playing adventure mode on Diablo III. That being said, your character will feel more unique as you level them up and make big choices. This can be very fun.
Having multiple character of the same class suddenly makes sense, and it can be a wonderful rabbit hole. I would say it all depends on your personality. If you enjoy character creation, planning, and development, I say go for it.
It is easily still worth the price, and there are ease of use mods out there if you end up playing solo. As far as the Necromancer, specifically? I do not see how it would feel similar to Diablo II Necro.
For all the reasons I mentioned above, I do not feel that any of the D3 classes feel like they did in Diablo II. That is perhaps just me. The Diablo 2 necromancer had a key component of his gameplay which isn't available in Diablo 3: he could command an army. In D3 raising a skeleton is essentially just a spell, a minion pops up out of the ground for a little while and disappears again. In Diablo 2 you tore skeletons out of the corpses of your enemies until the dungeon you were in echoed with the rattling of their bones.
You could literally have 20+ skeletons at your command and would only need to recast them if they died in glorious battle.
